We are doing a Binder Check today. 
  • Exchange Binders with someone else in the Room.
  • Take Turns on this Chromebook to grade the Binders.
  • Click Here to open the Binder Check Form
  • Sign out of the Chromebook when you are done and give the Chromebook to another student, so they can grade a Binder
  • Your Grade today will not only be the Binder Check Grade, but it will also be a participation Grade.

Career Flyer!

Short Description:

  • Create a flyer on a sheet of paper or online (to print) that describes a potential future career that you might be interested in. 
  • You have two days to complete this flyer. (Due at the end of class on Tuesday.)
  • The flyer must include relevant details for a career. 
    • Things like how much school is needed, how much demand for the job, potential pay, etc.
  • The flyer will be graded on the following: 
    • Quality and Quantity of Details.
    • Quality of the Flyer. 
    • On Time.

Long Description:

  • Fit on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. 
  • If hand-made... you can use pen, pencil, markers, etc. 
    • Mr. Harmless can give you a sheet of paper. 
    • Mr. Harmless has extra markers you could borrow. 
  • If on a computer... it must be printed. 
  • Career must be one you are interested in.
  • Details include: 
    • Potential Pay. 
    • Demand - Is this a job where it will be easy to get hired?
    • Hiring requirements... like school needed, etc. 
    • Places where you can find these jobs. 
    • Reasons one might like this job.
    • Reasons why others ought to look into this career. 
  • Due at 2:02pm on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018

Directions for Today:

  1. Add week 33 to your Vocab Project
  2. E-mail Mr. Harmless when you are done with your Vocab Project. 
  3. Be quiet so Mr. Harmless can enter last week's tutorial grades. 
  4. There will be a Binder Check NEXT Wednesday. Make sure you have your Binder ready!
  5. Hand in your field trip permission slip.
  6. Hand in your money for the field trip. 
  7. Turn in tomorrow's TRF today.

  3. If you didn't finish Friday's assignment, you could do that.

Friday the 13th

Directions for Today: 
Do this assignment completely and earn 200 points in the summative portion of your grade.  Fail to complete this assignment will result in earning 100 out of the 200 points. (That's a 50% for those of you who struggle with math.)

  1. Open your Vocab Project
  2. Add the words for Week 31
  3. Check to make sure that you now have a total of 66 slides. 
  4. Send Mr. Harmless an e-mail when you are done updating your presentation.
    1. Include your name.
    2. Include your partner's name. 
    3. Include a statement saying that you have checked to make sure that you have all 66 slides. 
  5. Please spend the remainder of your time on Khan Academy. It doesn't matter what topic you pick to work on. 
(You will receive a grade for your time spent on Khan Academy today.)
